If you have a website but don’t have a web based email marketing strategy in place you’re potentially losing out big time. Whenever I start a new website I always ensure I utilize web based email marketing by making a newsletter series of at least 10 emails. I position a signup box in a strong position on the page in order to start collecting subscribers.
Web based email marketing has different values in different markets, but almost always increases profits by at least 25% when done well (in some cases by 50% or more).
Here are a few things to keep in mind when setting up your web based email marketing newsletters:
Give Your Email an Enticing Title
By doing this you can greatly increase the percentage of people who actually open the email. Use words that grab people’s attention such as “Discover”, “Exposed”, and “Secrets” etc.

Make Your Emails Rich in Quality Information
If you want to build a profitable and responsive email list you need to give them quality information. Build up your reputation so that your emails are not thrown in the trash by providing high quality information on relevant topics.
Put Links to Your Website in the Email
You should provide links to relevant products you are selling at least twice in your email. Once near the start of the email and once at the end. Don’t be afraid to do this.
Send an Email out at Least Once a Month
In order to keep your list responsive you should send them an email at least once a month. It doesn’t have to be too long but should at least contain some interesting information to keep them responsive.
Use a Good Automated Email Service
You need a reliable automated email service to send the emails for you. The best one I’ve found is AWeber. You can sign up to AWeber HERE.
Web based email marketing lists can be extremely powerful and profitable but only if you look after them. I’d rather have a quality list of 100 subscribers than a non-responsive list of 10,000 people any day.
