Tracking and analyzing your websites performances is one of the easiest ways to increase your profit and an absolute must for any PPC internet marketing. HippoJaw is a product that was released in late 2008 by Phil Conibere and is the only tracking I use to monitor all my websites.
HippoJaw is a relatively new product which was only released in late 2008. In this HippoJaw Review I’ll explain more about why I like this product so much and what it can do for your business.
Having used numerous tracking programs in the past I have built up a good understanding of how they work and become accustomed to their many bugs and shortcomings. Some are difficult to install and others just don’t return the information in an easy to understand format.
Luckily in late 2008 I found HippoJaw and all my prayers were answered!

Here are a few of the reason I rate HippoJaw as the top tool for tracking conversions and collecting website visitor information:
- It is extremely easy to set up (set up takes 2 minutes per website!)
- The information is accurate and in real-time
- Split testing is easy to set up and understand
- I can track an unlimited number of websites
- It’s easy to see which keywords are leading to sales
- Tracking Google search phrases is a breeze
- Negative keywords are easy to identify (Great for PPC!)
These are just a few of the features I live about HippoJaw, the package offers a lot more, some of which I’ll delve into below.
Something else which was not initially included in the original version of HippoJaw is the AdWords Campaign Builder. This tool is a massive time saver and a must have for anyone serious about succeeding in PPC marketing.
What the HippoJaw campaign builder does is provide a way to quickly build thousands of Google Adwords Ads in seconds. The Campaign Builder will set each keyword up in a separate AdGroup (which is what you need) with the option of 1 or 2 ads (which you’ll go on to split-test). Keywords can also be split into broad, phrase and exact matches meaning you’ll be able to get even higher returns and more sales in all of your campaigns.
The HippoJaw Campaign Builder will also give you the option of assigning a tracking code to each and every keyword – this is something I highly recommend you do as it’s the only way to know where your sales are coming from.
If all this sounds complicated, never fear, Phil Conibere (the creator of HippoJaw) has set up detailed videos explaining exactly how to do everything that HippoJaw offers. Each tool that HippoJaw offers is also explained in detail on the relevant page in the HippoJaw members area. Should you still have problems, Phil Conibere is on hand and more than willing to provide fast, personalized support (the support really is great by the way).
Another tool that HippoJaw offers that saves me a heap of time in all of my PPC campaigns is the Conversion Optimization tool. Phil’s Conversion Optimization tool will marry up data imported from AdWords Editor and Clickbank meaning that you can see at a glance the conversion rates for all of your PPC keywords. You can then go ahead and delete underperforming keywords and focus on the performing ones. Again, if this sounds complicated, it’s not, it’s very easy and once you understand a little about Google AdWords it becomes a straightforward process.
All in all, Phil Conibere has put together a fantastic tool that caters to every kind of tracking any SEO or PPC campaign needs. HippoJaw is fast becoming the premium tracking tool for both newbies and internet marketing guru’s alike.
