Get More Facebook Likes And Social Shares

Get More Facebook LikesInteraction from you website visitors is now a key part of SEO in 2012.

There are lots of advanced things you can do to get more Facebook Likes and social shares and encourage more user interaction…things such as reward plans for frequent visits are great ideas, offering special gifts or bonuses for carrying out certain actions such as clicking the Like button is another idea I’ve played with successfully in the past.

At the very least, you need to make it easy for your visitors to click the Like button or share your site. You can do this by ensuring that no matter where your visitors are on your webpage, they can see the Like button.

The video below shows how you can use a free plugin to do just that:

You can download the plugin on this page: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/slick-social-share-buttons/

    Hi Aidan,

Thanks for that Social Media Plugin tip. I’ve followed your advice and installed it and it’s working perfectly. I used the same settings with Flexsqueeze, i.e. 610 and that sits well on that theme too!

    Keep the good tips coming.

    All the Best
    Phil

Wow as usual Aidan: a very smart suggestion.

I am going to test it on my 2 main websites.

    Thanks!

    Joe.

    Hey Aidan,

Awesome video. I was actually looking for something like this for quite some time and i like the way the share button follows you down the page.

Talk about “gimme some social luv pronto already!” lol.

Would be interesting to see how such a feature would help/hurt sale conversions since in a way we’re adding an “extra distraction” to the traffic that arrives onpage.

    Cheers,
    Adam

Hi Adam, you’re right, it is an “extra distraction” but I think it’s worth it and I don’t think it’ll hurt your conversions that much…

Hi Aidan, great plugin, but where do I download it?? I don’t see a link for it?

    thx

Very elegant way to add the sharing feature, thx Aidan.

The video does not say anything about the FB codes.
Does Slick Social plugin gets it from our previous modifications?
If I delete the other plugin will this codes disapear?

Hi Jose, the plugin should actually work without you needing to insert your FB ID…and it’ll automatically add Open Graph tags to your pages…
